It is a hot, humid day out at Grandma’s house. With all the beautiful greenery flourishing, you would almost think that you were in the tropics rather than the Northeast. Riley has the garden all to herself because the grown-ups prefer to sit under the fan and sip iced tea. The heat doesn’t bother her one bit - she is as cool as can be wearing her tropical toile ensemble in the shade of the giant lupine "palms" and yarrow "ferns."
Riley’s sleeveless ruffled shirt is made from a delicate blue toile printed with tropical foliage. It has a coordinating collar of blue and white gingham homespun, and tiny blue buttons in the front. Her skirt has two tiers of ruffles, which give the look of a twirly girly dress when worn with the ruffled shirt. She also has the option of wearing homespun pants with ruffled toile ankles. Her hat has a homespun brim and is adorned with a toile ruffle and bow. Little white plastic "jelly" sandals are included.
