Made for Bitty Bethany Kish by CarlaC
It is never too early to start thinking about college! Bethany is sharp as a tack, and she has overheard the grown-ups saying that she is "Ivy League material" for sure. Someday, she will have her choice of schools with beautiful architecture and loads of school spirit. For now, she is looking forward to another fun and exceptionally educational year at prep school.
Bethany looks so very smart in her traditional preparatory school uniform. The wool felt blazer was custom tailored to fit Bethany's frame.
The blazer features a notch collar, front darts and pocket flaps, and a hand-embroidered school crest. It fastens with golden bead buttons and stitched buttonholes.
Bethany's navy wool felt beret has a plaid band and a bias-cut bow that is embellished with felt ivy leaves and floss tendrils.
Bethany's skirt is made from a preppy red tartan plaid and has crisp knife pleats.
In early fall, it will be much too warm to walk around campus in a jacket. Good thing Bethany's white poplin button-down sleeveless shirt is so stylish!
It has a Peter Pan collar, built-in plaid necktie, and a tiny ivy "logo." It has a placket with little white buttons, and fastens in the front with snaps.
Bethany has the option of wearing a headband with her uniform. Her regulation crew socks can be pulled up, but also look cute worn slouchy style with her saddle shoes.
For activities like lacrosse games and bonfires, Bethany can wear her warm sweatshirt. It is made from soft red polar fleece, and has a ribbed collar and cuffs. It fastens in the back with snaps.
The sweatshirt is emblazoned with the letters "B B K."
Bethany must be a member of the Beta Beta Kappa sorority (or perhaps those are her initials) !
Grandma gave Bethany a stuffed bear friend to take back to school with her. What a coincidence that the bear happens to be the mascot of Grandma's alma mater, and is wearing a "Big Red" vest!
The bear can ride along in her black knapsack, which is embroidered with a little ivy and trimmed with fun bows. It will also be a good place to keep her headband when she isn't wearing it.
