Ann Estelle is thrilled to have been chosen to play the part of Clara in her town's upcoming production of "The Nutcracker." She is quite the prima ballerina and has been practicing very hard for this special holiday show. Ann Estelle is just the perfect Clara - brave, adventurous, and loving. All of her family members have front row seats reserved and are as excited as she is. She just can't wait to get out on stage and dance her heart out!
Ann Estelle's "Clara" dress is made from a beautiful vintage eyelet trim I purchased at an antiques show. I'm not sure how old the fabric is, but the detail is astounding. I'm guessing it was saved from some fine old linens. It makes for a dress that looks like it is from the victorian era. The bodice is lined with muslin, and snaps in the back. The skirt is very full so that it will float beautifully when Ann Estelle leaps into the air. Antique-looking organdy ribbon accents the waist and sleeves. A beautiful bow with a satin flower will keep her hair in place. Her ballet slippers have been aged to match her dress and are adorned with ribbon roses. Tights are a necessity and are included. And of course, where would Clara be without her dear Nutcracker? He is also included with the ensemble.
