Ann Estelle's favorite artist is of course Mary Engelbreit. She just loves how M.E. uses bright (or should we say "breit") colors on black backgrounds. Ann Estelle said that she would like a "breitly" colored outfit for the holidays this year. Instead of typical holiday red and green, this ensemble is aglow with "breit" green and "breit" pink. Ann Estelle will most certainly stand out from the crowd at holiday parties this year. Another great thing about this outfit is that it will be perfectly appropriate to wear after the holiday season. That will surely appeal to practical Miss Ann Estelle!
Ann Estelle's jumper is made from a very soft brushed tartan fabric. It has a double ribbon waistband with a rose encircled by a rick-rack wreath (try to say rick-rack wreath three times really fast). Her blouse is made from a beautiful, nubby raw silk. The texture of the blouse is really set off by the softness of the jumper. The round collar is adorned with rick-rack, pink pearls, and buttons galore. Both the jumper and the shirt fasten in the back with snaps. Her raw silk hat has a tartan brim with a pink rose and black ribbon. Her black ballet style flats are embellished to match the outfit. Matching black tights are included.
Despite numerous references to Mary Engelbreit in this listing, I am not associated with her company in any way.
