Riley has outgrown her baby furniture, and is ready for her "big girl" room. Such a special little - oops, I mean big - girl deserves very unique decor. I have drawn from elements of the incredibly whimsical and wonderfully childish "Mackenzie~Childs" style to create this special bed for Riley.
The center of the headboard is painted with a partly-cloudy sky - it is raining pearly buttons! The sky is framed with giump braid and a checkerboard. The edges are painted with fun stripes, and are outlined with rose trim painted white. The finishing touch - tassels!
The mattress is made from foam and is covered with white cotton fabric with dot embroidery. The dust ruffle is made from white eyelet and is attached to the bed along with the mattress.
Riley’s bedding is made from a fun mix of fabrics. The reversible coverlet is made from wedgewood blue chenille and sweet pastel homespun. It looks so pretty turned down with her scalloped eyelet sheet peeking out. Her pillow has a matching removable eyelet pillowcase. She has lots of other pillows - a big pillow with a blue chenille sham, a hand-beaded silk dupioni pillow with big pretty rosebud, a round rose pillow with a lace ruffle, and - last but not least - a rose striped neckroll, which is perfect for sitting up and reading stories.
