*Aquarium Fun*
for Riley Kish

Riley is such a lucky little girl! She is visiting Baltimore with her Grandma and Grandpa, and the Aquarium is at the top of their list of things to do. Riley has never seen such big, beautiful fish and amazing sea creatures. At the dolphin show, Riley makes sure to get a seat very close to the front. The dolphins and sea lions really make her giggle! One of the drawbacks of having a great seat is that you risk getting soaked from all the splishing and splashing! Good thing Grandma just bought Riley an irresistible, hand-painted T-shirt ensemble at the gift shop. Riley can change into her new outfit before they go up to the roof to see the rainforest exhibit. There are so many exotic plants and pretty birds to see. It is very warm up there and Riley is starting to get a bit tired from her big day. She is going to sit down and play with the little tub toys that Grandpa bought her while Grandma was "oohing and ahhing" over the clothes in the gift shop.

Riley’s top is made from a fine purple batik with a detailed design of shades of aqua and green. It has a square neckline and is edged with a split ruffle. The waist is accented with a double purple tie that is trimmed with iridescent beads. The matching capris have ruffled leg openings and an elastic waist. Her wired hair scrunchies can wrap around her hair in many fun styles, and are an easy way to put her braids up into buns. Riley’s flip-flops have interlaced rick-rack straps and polymer footbeds are molded to fit her feet.

Riley’s ruffled T-shirt is made of a fun, bright blue knit. It is stitched just like a big girl’s shirt, but fastens in the back with snaps. I freehand painted the tiny design with acrylic paint. It has two happy clownfish swimming amongst seaweed and anemones. The fitted capri pants are made from a coordinating purple knit, and look cute worn with the batik shirt, too. She can also wear the T-shirt with the batik pants - that girl loves to mix and match! Riley’s toys include a tiny rainforest frog, a lobster, and a funny puffer fish.
