Antiquing in the Country

for 18" Ann Estelle

Oh what a weekend is in store for Ann Estelle!  She is headed out to the country with Mom and Grandma.  They are going stay in a bed and breakfast and shop at all the fabulous antique stores.  Ann Estelle looks like the perfect little lady in her country rose ensemble.  She can’t wait to show off her tapestry jacket to all of the shopkeepers.  Maybe she’ll even find a tea set that matches her buttons!  She knows that they have a lot of ground to cover, so she is going to wear her comfy felt clogs.  She is bringing along her cute pink frock to wear to brunch on Sunday.  Since even more shopping is planned for Sunday afternoon, Ann Estelle knows that she is going to be pooped at the end of the weekend.  She is going to change into her soft homespun jumper for the ride home – perfect for napping in the car!

Ann Estelle’s “dishy” tapestry jacket is accented with resin buttons shaped like roses, a teacup, and a teapot.  It closes tight with velcro. Her hat is made from soft homespun fabric and has a denim band embellished with a handmade fabric rose. Tiny hand-embroidered roses grace her turtleneck and matching tights.  The turtleneck closes in the back with a little strip of Velcro.  Her denim skirt is finished with a lace and more tiny roses.  It snaps on the side, and has a bit of elastic at the waist for a perfect fit. The pink jumper is made from a fuzzy-wuzzy fabric and has snaps at the shoulders.  It has white buttons and a ribbon rose.  She has a headband made out of the same fabric.  Her homespun jumper has a little rose appliqué on the bodice and lace and a pink ribbon around the waist. Her navy felt clogs are trimmed with pink ribbon.
